The Foundation About Bhutan Project About UNICEF UNICEF Germany UNICEF Bhutan Donations Contact Imprint Deutsche Version	The Foundation       In 2005 Constanze and Oliver Niedermaier, under one umbrella with UNICEF Germany, established a foundation for the children of the Himalayan nation of Bhutan. The motivation behind the establishment of the foundation was borne of a 2005 trip through the fascinating Himalayan kingdom. The smiling faces of children who, despite bitter poverty, emanate a zest for life, along with the tour guide, Rinzin's, statement, "All that I can give my children for the future is education," lead to the decision to help the children in Bhutan. The endowment and that capital grows annually through further contribution by the founders. We also want to win the support of friends/acquaintances and businesses for the Tashi Foundation and with it the work of UNICEF Bhutan in order to ensure even stronger support for the children of Bhutan.
